Intelligent Business Events

How 'Intelligent' is your Business?

Junction YK have staged a series of events on intelligent business techniques, to help business people understand the opportunities and benefits of new technologies, across the northwest region.  At the events, businesses discovered ways to use technology to increase productivity, reduce costs and maintain competitiveness. Sophie Blackham, the Junction YK Project Manager, explains what sort of impact can events like these have:

"The events were driven and funded by the Northwest Regional Development Agency, and managed by Junction YK. We held 15 events across the north-west region aimed at a variety of sectors, from the creative industries to tourism. Nearly 700 people attended the events with almost 90 exhibitors. Sixty local IT and digital media companies were also involved. NW Business Link worked in partnership with us, sending business advisors to the events and pointing delegates in the direction of further support and funding."

"The feedback we have had from the events has been phenomenally positive. The overwhelming majority of delegates found the event well worth attending and came away very inspired and motivated." But what happens to those businesses after the events? Combining presentations with mini-trade shows helped businesses not only see new the opportunities but find people who can help deliver them. It's early days to know what sort of impact that will have, but if the TeamInteract project provides any sort of indication we can expect some great results across many of those companies.

Organising the events was a huge logistical undertaking which we couldn't have achieved on our own and Junction YK would like to thank the following agencies and organisations who worked in partnership with us on the events:
